Avenues Early Childhood Services Gallup, NM The passion of two women working with low-income and tribal families in the rural and geographically isolated area of northern New Mexico birthed Avenues Early Childhood Services. The team works with families and caregivers on early childhood development and education from prenatal to five years old, including home visits. Their evaluation and outcomes work have helped build a strength-based, evidence-informed and evidence-based curricula to guide their services such as Partners for Healthy Babies, Promoting First Relationships, and Mothers and Babies.

ReStoreOKC Oklahoma City, OK “We all long for true community — a place of acceptance, value and belonging” explain the co-founders of ReStoreOKC, a community development ministry in Northeast Oklahoma City. ReStoreOKC partners with its neighbors to address their health and wellbeing, affordable and safe homes, education and jobs, economic and social justice, healing and reconciliation. Their vision to turn a food desert into a food destination with a neighborhood micro-grocery store (with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables from the ReStore Farms) inspired us to support this effort.

Texas Beef Initiative Dripping Springs, TX The founders of Texas Beef Initiative, cattlemen and amateur team ropers, realized there were plenty of cattle in Central Texas but very little meat protein available at food banks (peanut butter is the most common protein distributed). From handling cattle purchases and donations, to transportation, veterinary care and processing, Texas Beef Initiative makes meat protein available in food banks, food pantries, and other charitable organizations across, and beyond, Central Texas.
